Magam Ganesh

It is situated at Gaam Dhoka nearby Phoolpati Danda. In ancient times, the king visited Changunarayan to offer his homage. Once, Lord Changunarayan told the king that he should not come to the temple, instead the Lord himself will visit the king. Since then, the statue of Changunarayan is taken to the king every six months during Shrawan Shukla Purnima and Magh Shukla Purnima. On the way back, the Narayan refreshed himself in the place where Sankha Chakra is currently situated. The historical belief also narrates the story of Lord Ganesha visiting Lord Narayana if he was in trouble while resting. Narayana was impressed by such act of kindness by Ganesha and hence decided to offer him conch and chakra and asked Ganesha to protect the area.
