Badheshwor Mahadev

Badheshwor temple is situated on the left of Chinnamasta temple. Badheswor Mahadev is among the various forms of Lord Shiva. Etymologically, in Sanskrit “Badh” means to kill or destroy and “Ishwor” means god. So, Lord Shiva is also known as the god with power to kill and destroy everything. As per the need, Lord Shiva takes different forms to protect his devotees. The temple’s walls and other structures were destroyed by the earthquake of 2072 B.S (2015 A.D.). However, the statue of Badheshwor Mahadev can still be observed inside the temple. The temple is under the authority of Guthi Sansthan.
